soap! conference 2018 – innovation vs simplicity

At soap! we believe that content is not merely text. That’s why we discuss different content types such as graphics, videos, manuals, or user interfaces, different phases of content lifecycle including its creation, management, transformation, and localization as well as different roles involved in the process: authors, information architects, project managers, graphic designers, and other.
We want product-related content that is simple to author, deliver, and manage. We also want product-related content that is easy to follow for users. How can we get there? Can innovation be the key? Can it help us gain simplicity? Or does it equal complexity? How can we balance both?

day 1 – 23.05

edu summit

A day full of workshops you simply can’t miss. The Edu Summit workshops are delivered by passionate content practitioners eager to share their knowledge and skills with the soap! community. The number of seats at most workshops is limited to 15 so make sure you book yours early! Check Schedule

day 2 & 3 – 24.05 & 25.05

soap! conference

The conference are two days packed with talks, networking breaks, and surprises. Get started with a cup of coffee, take a seat, and absorb the wisdom of the fellow soapers. You don’t need to worry about taking notes – all talks are recorded and made available on our youtube channel after the conference. Check Schedule

After each day of the conference, we have an after party for you. Usually, we try to keep Thursday (May 24) relatively calm because we still have one day full of talks ahead of us. But on Friday (May 25) we like to start with great beer at T.E.A. Time BrewPub and then explore the nightlife of Krakow. All soapers are more than welcome to join! We’ll announce the place and time when we know them!

Conference Venue

Located at the bank of the Vistula River right opposite the Wawel Royal Castle, Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology is a truly exceptional place. It combines the functions of a traditional museum (with its exhibitions and collections) with those of an active cultural center. It’s a fusion of modern technology and traditions of the Far East.

During both conference days, our guests will have free access to all exhibitions at Manggha.

Edu Summit Venue

Krakow Technology Park is an institution that helps IT sector grow in Małopolska Region. It aims especially in innovative, disruptive ideas, but is ready to work with companies on every level, from startup to multinational corporation. The KTP’s toolbox consists of incubator, seed fund, attractive flexible office space with reduced prices, and special economic zone. But plenty of projects led by KTP result in many other initiatives like the biggest game industry conference in Poland: Digital Dragons or very comprehensive smart city strategy for city of Kraków. New HQ of KTP is a perfect place for startups, IT freelancers, but also experienced companies and last but not least awesome events.
